Day of Caring 2008 - Saturday, June 7th

Day of Caring is a community-wide one-day service event that connects volunteers with nonprofit organizations to accomplish special projects or events in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Saturday, June 7th will mark the 14th Annual Day of Caring and it promises to be another exciting opportunity for volunteers and community service activities in the Kansas City area.

Day of Caring 2008 is open to all groups with five or more volunteers and the objectives are simple: to give volunteers first-hand experience with area nonprofits to raise awareness of community issues and services, as well as to better understand the impact of their donated dollars. In addition, these activities offer volunteers a great opportunity to get to know co-workers outside of the workplace, and nonprofits greatly benefit from the labor and resources available on that day.

Projects will be available online for review on April 18th with project selection beginning on April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Day of Caring is a combined effort of United Way and the Heartland Combined Federal Campaign.
