Steve Tanner & Dave Ragan, 2008 CFC Co-Chairs

This has been an extraordinary year for the Combined Federal Campaign.  Thanks to each of you for your generous contributions to a CFC campaign that became the most successful in the history of our efforts.  Together we raised $3,699,916.60

When we started our fund raising efforts last September, the general economy in the United States and our community spiraled downward.  Our hopes were dimmed, but only momentarily.  Your collective good nature and ability to understand that our community is in need only served to strengthen the resolve to show the hero that lies within each of us.  Yes, we dared to care and a better community is the result.  Now we all fully understand that in times of need, those on the federal and military payroll step to the front and give generously.  The 2008 CFC is one to remember and sets the pace for giving in the future.

We both thank all those who made the special effort to make this a success.  All the Agency Heads, CFC cabinet leaders, the loaned executives, the individual coordinators, the special committees, union leaders and everyone who made a contact on behalf of CFC to raise funds for our community.

It is with great honor and pride that we close the 2008 CFC.  A million “Thank You” s are in order.
